Autism Job Fair

EVENT INFORMATION

Join us for a free sensory-friendly job fair targeted at Adult job seekers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Sponsored by Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration, Autism Society of Greater Phoenix, and Rio Salado College

Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Rio Salado College, 3320 S. Price Rd, Tempe, 85282 (SW corner of Southern and 101)

Sensory Friendly ~ This year the Job Fair will once again be split into 15-20 rooms with employers in each room, so it will be much quieter and more individualized.

Come join us for our fifth Autism Job Fair. Workshops for adults on the autism spectrum and their parents/job coaches every half hour. Learn about the job fair and how to find and keep a job. Meet with employers, share your resume and practice interview skills. Parents/job coaches are encouraged to attend.

Schedule:
9:30 – 12:00: Registration

9:00-9:45 AM: Employers only workshop: Learn about employing adults on the autism spectrum and their strengths and challenges.

9:30, 10:30, 11:30 AM: Half-Hour Workshops for adults on the autism spectrum and their parents/job coaches: Learn about the job fair, how to find a job, and how to keep a job.

Attendance at the workshop is strongly encouraged, but not required to attend the Job Fair.

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Job fair: Adults with ASD (and their parent/job coach if desired) meet with prospective employers individually or in small groups. Also opportunity to meet with provider agencies.

**In order to attend the Job Fair, participants must register for one of three times:

10 – 11 AM or 11 AM – 12 PM or 12 – 1 PM

The Autism Job Fair is FREE, but Registration is Required. Professional clothing is recommended. Parents and Job Coaches welcome.
