This exploratory hike will open our senses and our minds to think like a citizen scientist.
One of McDowell Sonoran Conservancyʼs own citizen scientists will show us various tools used to study wildlife in the desert.

Children will also become junior citizen scientists for the day by making observations, recording their findings into a field notebook, developing scientific questions, and discussing methods for answering these questions.
Allow 2 hours for this easy 1.7-mile hike. Bring water, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes for safe hiking. This hike is for ages 6+, and all children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
