About Mandy:
I am the owner of Mindful Living Co. As a Yoga Health Coach, my mission is to guide you in discovering who you are and to inspire you to reach your full potential. By dedicating time to learn and understand my clients’/students’ needs and the external factors affecting them, I strive to provide the tools that can help manage stress more effectively; and thereby, live more satisfying and rewarding lives. I believe that personal health and wellness, combined with proper nutrition, appropriate exercise, and a positive outlook, aids in managing stress and will allow you to accomplish your intentions and desires joyfully and with an abundance of energy.

For every obstacle, there hidden within, lies a blessing. When I was eleven years old, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. By the age of sixteen, my curvature had progressed to a 57 degree angle. I was told that nothing would alleviate my immense pain or prevent further curvature except surgery. I knew surgery was not the answer and rebelled against it.

I strolled into a yoga class, that my friends dad taught, at the YMCA in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Physically, mentally, spiritually I was hooked and continued to show up. There was very limited availability to take classes back then, so I did what I could and purchased yoga videos to practice at home. As the years passed, I was able to travel and relocate to beautiful cities all over the world that had an abundance of yoga studios to explore.

It has been seventeen years since I walked into my first yoga class. Over this time my curvature has been corrected significantly, and now rests at a 27 degree angle. I am completely pain free. Surgery would not have been able to grant such successes.

Not only have I made drastic physical changes, I have also increased the meaning of my life by showing up present and with an abundance of patience, kindness, awareness and love. Learning to move with my breath and listen to my body has been the most important advise that I have learned. And for that reason, I have chosen to keep the message alive and to teach this ancient scientific wisdom.

I teach everything; from kids to seniors: yin, chair, restorative, nidra, hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa, power, wall, trapeze, acro, prenatal, PTS, kundalini, meditation, and various forms of breath work. I teach to share the knowledge that yoga is an invitation for us to remember that we are whole and complete. Everything that we desire and need is already within us. By removing resistance’s that cloud our judgment, we may cultivate a clear mind and cultivate life’s blessings. Yoga allows us to let go our thoughts and live through our hearts. Wherein, energy vibrantly flows and connects us to our higher centers of consciousness.

Yoga is one of my love languages. My passion is to share this ancient wisdom with anyone willing to participate. I have unconditional love for all beings. I desire to inspire myself and the world around me. I seek global peace and to first maintain this we must start with ourselves. See you on the mat. Namaste.
