Teen Life Skills Event

EVENT INFORMATION

Foster, Adopted, Biological and Kinship Teens are encouraged to attend this event!

As our youth move towards independence ASA Now invites you to attend this month’s Life Starts Now workshop. Topics discussed will include resume building, interviewing skills, filling out W-2’s/ W-9’s, and people skills.

We will discuss how to apply for jobs, what is necessary to have on a resume. We will also be teaching important interviewing skills and attire. As well as discussing the importance of a W-2/W-9 and deductions.

March 7th

Please note that this class will be held in conjunction with ASU First Star Road to Independence Serve your Community Program which will take place from 9 am to 12 am at Jacob’s Mission Community Center. Youth ages 14-18 are welcome to attend.

Tips: Use Internet Explorer if possible-Computer/Lap Top works best.

Step 1: Register everyone living under you roof. Add new children when they are placed in your home.

Register yourself then your spouse/partner if applicable. Be sure hit ADD MEMBER to register each child and save after each child then hit ADD Member again then save. Repeat as needed. It does time out so do not walk away.

Step 2: Click on MEMBERSHIP TAB and register/select a
👉Free Basic Necessities Membership 👈
*Select all account members for the free membership.
Hit “Add To Cart” then Go to check out and submit. You will receive an email confirmation.

🛑*if you accidentally added the Event/Class to the cart before getting the free membership be sure to hit remove/delete the event(s). Only free membership should be showing. First process the Free Membership from your cart (note no other event can be on your cart). Once you’ve done that, exit out, log back into your account and follow step 3.

Step 3:

Now you can SIGN UP FOR this and any future EVENT by only clicking on the event link:

Example:
For Food Boxes: only click primary member
For Parent’s Night Out: Select all children that will be attending
For Support Group: Select Member(s) who will be attending
For Family Socials: Select all members who will be attending
For Life Skills: Select all members who will be attending
For Tutoring/Dance/Music…: Select all members who will be attending
For New Foster Placement’s: Select members in need of clothes, back packs, hygiene kit, etc.
