EVENT INFORMATION

Use your skills as a caring, adult role model by becoming a Free Arts Volunteer Mentor! All Volunteer Mentors start by attending Volunteer Mentor Orientation.

This one hour, no obligation orientation is held each month. Join us to learn how you can give your time to Free Arts and make a difference in the lives of our community’s most vulnerable children.

IMPORTANT: The address for the Free Arts office is 352 E. Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012.

Opportunities include:

-Weekly Mentor Group: A group of children and you, alongside another Free Arts Mentor, at a foster care group home or shelter for a one-hour art-making session each week. Together we make a schedule that fits the needs of both the mentors and our partner organizations.

-Free Arts Days: Mentoring children during one-day art events at our cultural partners including the Phoenix Art Museum, Desert Botanical Gardens, and Arizona Opera.

-Spring and Summer Camps: Mentoring children while they create, heal, learn and grow during immersive 1-2 weeks of meaningful interaction.

-Professional Artist Series: Mentoring children that are being led by a professional in their medium including dance, painting, sculpting, welding, and more. Are you a professional artist? Come learn how you can join our roster of fellow artists!

-Office volunteering, internships, art supply drives, and more
