Yarn Bomb Meet-Ups at Daley Park

EVENT INFORMATION

Daley Park’s magic tree is going to be getting Yarn Bombed as part of the city’s Arts in the Parks program. People from all over with an interest in crocheting or knitting are invited to participate in this yarn bomb project by attending meet-ups in the park where you can learn how to crochet, or enjoy crocheting with old and new friends. Bring a chair or blanket and we will provide some hot chocolate!

If you already know how to crochet and want to contribute to the project in another way, you can also drop off 10″ x 12″ knit or crocheted rectangles in yellow, dark orange, light blue, or light green crocheted squares to the Edna Vihel Arts Center in Tempe.

The Yarn Bomb project is lead by Tiffany Spencer, who learned to Crochet as a young teenager and it has not only helped her cope and bring peace to her but has also helped develop her into an artist. She brings a sense of creativity into her work and also has a passion for teaching others her craft as well. Tiffany has a strong belief that crocheting is more than just a hobby, but a healthy outlet that allows for expressive creations. Tiffany is also a mentor to young ladies in the Phoenix area.
